Chariots from Dejbjerg, Jutland. In the first century BC, these four-wheeled chariots were disassembled and laid out on a fairly dry surface of a bog, visible to all. A series of sticks fenced in the sacred area. The two chariot had probably been luxury vehicles of a wealthy farmer. The ornamentation of the chariots resembles Centeral European works of bronze produced by Celtic craftsmen, but it is also possible that the chariots were made in Northern Europe.
