The Huldremose dress was found in the same bog as the woman's dress in the showcase on the left. The dress, woven in wool, presumably dates from 1st century AD. The armless dress from Huldremose consists of a tubular piece of cloth, 1.7m long and 2.6m wide. This tubular piece of cloth could be worn held together at the shoulders, thereby producing sleeve slits and a flap, i.e. a folding over the superfluous length of cloth. The superfluous length could also form a loose flap over a belt. Sleeveless one-piece dresses of this kind could be worn as the only piece of dress, or with an underdress. The dress is known from Roman depictions.
