Mould
 
For this knive I used a soapstone. Here one of the mould halves can be seen, including one of the (finished) knives. You can see clearly how the tip curls up from thinning the blade by hammering. This has been taken into account when determining the required shape of the mould.
 
Casting result
 
These are some of the cast blades. Most blades are excellent castings.

Finished knife
 
The blade has been ground sharp on sandstone and polished first using a dried block of clay & sand, and then a block of just clay.
The second finished knife. This knife is finished with modern tools.
