Found: Voorhout, Netherlands
Age: middel bronze age The original was found as together with 17 axes. These objects were probably made in Wales, UK, and reached this area through trade. As my other chisel started bending during use (due to weakness from porosity), I decided to cast a new one before it breaks. |
Mould
| Material: clay and sand
The mould is made from clay and sand and well fired. As the original chisel has a very flat side, it probably was made in a mould with one flat side. Therefore I did the same with my mould. |
Casting result

The casting was succesful. From the looks of it, it's a nice solid casting without porosity. |
